Who runs this website
Find Them DM is an independent, community-run service. It is not the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force or the Government. Its operators are responsible for the information published here.
Information about missing people
The purpose of this website is to help find people who are missing, by making public alerts easy to find and share. For each published case we may show:
- name, any other names the person is known by, age and gender;
- photographs;
- a physical description, clothing and distinguishing features;
- when and where the person was last seen, and the circumstances that have been made public;
- the alert type, the police reference number, and public updates on the case.
This information comes from official missing-person announcements and other sources that staff have checked. Every case is entered by authorised staff and approved by a second person before it is published. Members of the public cannot add or change cases.
We never publish dates of birth, medical diagnoses, private contact details, internal staff notes, private case updates, the names of staff, or speculation about what happened. Photographs are re-saved before publication, which removes hidden data such as the location where the photo was taken.
Many of the people on this site are children. We publish only what is needed to help find them.
How long cases stay public
When a person is found, their page stays online with a clear "located – please stop sharing" notice, so that anyone who comes across an older post can see that the search is over. A case can be taken off the website at any time, for example at the family's request or once older posts have stopped circulating. Taking a case off the website does not delete the record held by the operators, which is kept securely in line with our records-retention policy.
Corrections and removal
If information about you or a family member is wrong, out of date, or should no longer be public, please tell us using the details on the About page. Include the page link and, where possible, a source we can check. We review every request and act quickly when someone has been found.
Information about visitors
- You do not need an account, and there are no public forms or comments.
- The public pages set no cookies.
- There is no advertising, no analytics or tracking, and no third-party scripts or fonts. Your browser only contacts this website.
Like all websites, our servers record each request: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and your browser type. These logs are used only to keep the website secure and working, and are deleted after a limited period. They are not used to identify visitors and are not shared, unless the law requires it.
Sharing on social media
The share buttons on case pages are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp, Facebook or X unless you press one. If you do, you move to that service and its own privacy policy applies.
How information is protected
The staff system is separate from the public website. Staff must sign in with a password and a second factor, can only do what their role allows, and every change to a case is recorded with who made it and when.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
