How alerts work

Understanding MPAS alert colours

Dominica's Missing Person Alert System (MPAS) was launched in October 2026. It uses colours to describe who is missing, so the public knows straight away what kind of case it is.

The colour does not show how urgent a case is.

Every missing-person case is taken seriously. A Pink Alert is not "more urgent" than a Silver or Orange Alert. The colour only shows which group the person belongs to.

Blue Alerts are different

Blue AlertPublic safety

Not a missing-person alert

A Blue Alert is a public-safety alert. Law enforcement uses it to help find certain violent suspects, particularly after serious attacks on law-enforcement personnel.

If you see someone named in a Blue Alert, do not approach them. Contact Police Headquarters immediately on (767) 448-2222.

Find Them DM does not currently list Blue Alerts.
